First day in France

We  were all a bit excited to wake up in a strange bed in a strange room… But we were ready to start! At first we had a „welcome“ at College François-Auguste Ravier, where we met our new friends. We got to know each ohter and after that some of our French friends showed us their school. We found out that our French partner has participated in several Comenius projects before, we saw several classrooms and visited some classes, too. The teachers visited an English lesson and had really warm conversation with Mr Mastrototaro´s students.

We were honored by Mr Christian Rival, the mayor of Morestel, who welcomed us in Town Hall. After lunch the students had an orienteering race in Morestel, which helped them to know about Morestel. At least for teachers it seemed to be a very interesting race. But the students will share their thoughts and emotions themselves a bit later J

The really educational visit was to Ravier´s House. François-Auguste Ravier was a French painter, who lived in Morestel for 30 years with his wife and five children. Ravier’s House is currently a major exhibition venue.

Our first Comenius-day in Morestel ended with a very spirited party at school, together with French parents. The French students prepared a special hymn for the project, so we sang it all together. Every partner had designed a logo, on Wednesday we will vote to choose the project logo.
